The entrance to the medical university, after exams, is an achievement. So, level 1 passed — fatality.

I can imagine the excitement you feel now, the chaos in your mind. You must know that we all feel the same way.

There are many legends about our university, as about any famous and appreciated place. And you can’t get a «5» grade, and medical students don’t sleep, and studying here is not easy (you know what I’m talking about). In general, there is a shroud of mystery over our university. And I would like open this shroud of mystery. What do you expect from your education in KSMU, first of all. «From education», because you just can’t walk around.

So, I list the TOP-10 expectation from education in KSMU:

1. The lack of a sleep. Total, global, destructive and chronic. This guy did catch you for long time in your life, and you can’t go away from this boring «friend». I give you advice: sleep everywhere, where you can: 5 minutes on the break time, 10 minutes in the bus, everywhere. You’ll see, you get one hour, at least.
2. Gigabits, terabits of information! Soon, the information will fill your small pumpkin-head. As assistant professor of anatomy department Liliya Alekseevna says: «Students of our university study the information not in the pages, but in centimeters». So, you should get used to it. When you’ll get your first question for homework, you will think it is for next month. No. ERROR 404. It’s for next class.
3. The lack of free or just any time! Be ready, if you really want to be doctor and live in medical profession, you need know everything, all the detail. So take your head and study all subjects. Important things and not. Read a lot. Read everything. Read. You are a future doctor, and as Vladimir Mikhailovich Bekhterev said: «if the patient doesn’t feel better after the conversation with doctor, then this is not a doctor».
4. Dear light of medicine (in the future, of course), you should know, that all your friends, parents will wait for advice from you, in any medical field. And despite of what you study in the medical university a week only, and despite of you had only anatomy class, after you can’t think properly, you must, listen to me, you must know everything.
5. You should buy many pockets because for next six years, pockets will be your close friends. You will bring it all six days in week with your second shoes. And no assistant will allow you come in the department without it. But if you would like discuss with… No, don’t do that.
6. Sew a tab on your top clothes, or you will take your top clothes during the day.
7. NO ONE will ever run after you. Only you need the high education, and you must be interested in that, to be the future Mechnikov or Pavlov.
8. Remember, that your white coat will always be ironed. Whatever you do, a white coat will be like in rectum, i.n.
9. Be ready that if you want to be a specialist, you need to study hard (very-very hard).
10. And be ready that student life is the best time of your life. So don’t lose yourself only in education. Yeah, you need to study well (even excellent). But don’t forget that graduate of medical university must be developed in different ways. Work on yourself; develop in different ways, because our university shows a good possibility for that! You can do everything!
