Bring a Word with Understanding
You don’t make a poem with ideas, but with words.
Stéphane Mallarmé
In previous issues we shortly told about Karl Wernicke and Paul Broca, Probably, some ideas were not opened enough but exact these lacunas became the stimulus for doubt and search of information.
Let’s start with pathos and intimidation, aren’t you against? Last century Roland Barthes buried the Author. The world knew about his death and many people expressed lukewarm support, suffered, but… accepted.
There is a person behind the text that you read right now, the personality with own emotions, thoughts and, in her own opinion, they don’t have any similarity with others thoughts and emotions. Author — is a special person.
Usually, when we read the text, we are trying to get about ourselves and about the world, we resurrect those alive things that we can catch. While we are reading texts we must discuss, focus on them. How often do we really “sink” into text?
Reader can read any book, article of this author or short post in Twitter and he finds words which proved his right, support him, and, may be, he gets the sense that he consider as prophetic. That’s idea of student magazine — to understand the sense of text and there is way to agree or not. Text must push the reader to action.
And suddenly text, that author wrote, “kills” him. He stop talking, we cant find him. He entombed under text. Then should we find author, when we should focus on the text, his sense? It is debatable, but some thinks so.
Honoré de Balzac writes in the book “Sarrasine” described a woman and Barthes noticed it: “It will always be impossible to know [why she was described this way], for the good reason that all writing is itself this special voice, consisting of several indiscernible voices, and that literature is precisely the invention of this voice, to which we cannot assign a specific origin: literature is that neuter, that composite, that oblique into which every subject escapes, the trap where all identity is lost, beginning with the very identity of the body that writes.” When we finish to read the text, we decide, we will analyze it or just fly over the paper by eyes and wont focus on details. But if I add, that writing text is a symbolic field?
Every day we come in class, study to make stitches and so on. We are studying in the one university. Obviously. But it can be that while we are sitting in the one auditory we could see a whole university. The university is full of legends, rumors, students study here from свыше 50 countries and regions of Russia, but there is not such dot where you can see everything. Do you agree? Through the texts that publish in magazine papers, we reach to catch all dots of the university.
And only reader can connect and dots, and texts in a whole. Just imagine, you know — the author writes the idea in a paper. The text starts to live separately with author. The idea gulps the author and reader connects all strokes and he makes a form of the text. While reader reads student magazine article, he interpreters word, creating the content of speaking person. All of us understand texts differently.
I’m sure that during all life you took the encyclopedias, newspaper and so on and you interested in — sometimes even seriously — many things. Is it interesting for you, that is the understanding of text? Are we really interested how to understand the text? I say it again, should we know that author feels? Should we “resurrect” him? I think, we should. The attempt to understand why someone wrote text in this way allows to feel life another. Author shares transpersonal and, in the same time, he releases self from “prison”, as Gilles Deleuze wrote.
On these pages you can share of your observation about anything, about any side of life. We are located on the same area that’s why we should understand that we think, worry or why we are angry and resent.
The sense of the text connects with an action, behave, and it cant be end because in the text (like words by Bakhtin) we cant calm down, it must worry us. Ask yourself what is it for me? What does mean the thing around me?
